LCD TV Panel Prices Falling in Q1

New Year celebrations bring hope for the coming year, and sometimes resolutions to do something better. Panel makers can hope that the current trend of falling prices does not last too long, and they can resolve to avoid building too much inventory. 2024 brings a trend to falling LCD TV panel prices which started in Q4’23 and will extend at least through Q1’24. As the big holiday selling season comes to an end in early February, the supply/demand balance sits squarely in oversupply, with Q1 prices for all screen sizes continuing to fall from their recent peak in September 2023.

Apple Positions Vision Pro as Personal Theater for 3D Movies, Hints at Future IMAX App

Apple has announced that Vision Pro users will be able to watch more than 150 3D movies when the headset becomes available on February 2. The list of movies include recent releases such as Avatar 2, Dune and Super Mario Bros. Vision Pro users will have access to 3D versions of eligible movies when they become available to rent or purchase from the Apple TV app. Users who already own movies with a 3D edition will have access from their Vision Pro at no additional cost. Moreover, several streaming apps, including Disney+, will offer 3D versions of their latest and most popular movies on Vision Pro at launch.
