DSCC’s Quarterly MiniLED Backlight Technologies, Cost and Shipment Report revealed that MiniLED has become an important role and a strategic resource in both the display and LED industries. MiniLED shipments were 4.8M units in Q2’24 and are expected decline slightly in Q3’24 due to weak demand from TV. The total shipments for MiniLED panels are expected to reach more than 19M units in 2024.Read More
As revealed in DSCC’s latest release of the OLED Shipment Report, OLED panel revenues increased 36% Y/Y in Q2’24. The improvement to panel revenues is the result of the 49% Y/Y unit increase as a result of improved consumer and commercial demand offset by seasonality for some applications. As we approach the end of September and with the launch of the iPhone 16 series, our latest release of the Monthly Flagship Smartphone Display Tracker shows that cumulative panel shipments through September for the iPhone 16 Series are tracking 8% higher versus the iPhone 15 series during the same period in 2023. Panel shipments for the iPhone 15 series started in June 2023, while panel shipments for the iPhone 16 series started in July 2024. On a M/M basis for August, the iPhone 15 series decreased 53% M/M. iPhone 15 series panels shipments are expected to continue to decline M/M as panel shipments for the iPhone 16 series continue to ramp up.Read More
