BIOGRAPHY

Scott has been with Magic Leap for 8 years, most recently as Vice President of Eyepiece Engineering where he is responsible for waveguide materials, process, and equipment engineering from R&D to high volume solutions. Scott joined Magic Leap as part of the Molecular Imprints Acquisition in 2015 and has since led the development of the nanoimprint equipment for ML1 and subsequently, led a large cross-functional team to deliver the ML2 production line, and is busy working on new capabilities to enable Magic Leap’s future generations of waveguides. During his 11 years at Molecular Imprints, Scott led the Systems Engineering team and the development of 3 generations of nanoimprint machines capable of patterning both sides of a 65 mm diameter disk with sub-50 nm features at high throughput. He has a B.S. in Textile Engineering and a M.S. in Computer Engineering from NC State University, just 45 minutes from where he was born and raised.
