Murat Deveci

Murat Deveci is the director of business development and global sales at OptoFidelity. At OptoFidelity, he manages AR/XR display business cases. In addition to his role within the company, he is also the Committee Chair of “IQM3 – Image Quality Metrics, Methods and Measurements” within the AR Alliance. In general, his work is heavily focused on solving the challenges with image quality testing, waveguide characterization, waveguide production, and light engine testing at the module and system level. Murat has a M.Sc. in Materials Engineering from Tampere University of Technology, Finland. He also completed Industrial Engineering and Mechanical Engineering studies in Finland, Denmark, and Turkey.

Performance Testing of AR/XR HMDs

Mixed reality glasses are sophisticated devices with multiple components that work together to provide a fully immersive experience. One of the main challenges with these devices has been the latency, which significantly affects the immersive experience. In this presentation, we will compare the Apple Vision Pro to various other HMDs and assess their performance based on key metrics such as photon-photon, motion-to-photon, and see-through latencies, as well as other image quality metrics. We will also delve into the details of how these metrics are measured using robotic platforms.
