I currently am serving as Executive Director for the 8K Association. I have an extensive background in Consumer Electronics and Digital Media industries after having served for over 3 years as the President of the UHD Alliance and over 25 years with Sony and Pioneer. I have extensive experience in launching new technologies, distribution and sales strategies, new business development, new media and advising start-up companies on business plan, strategies, etc. I served as CEO of Diego, a Paul Allen company, to direct the efforts in both hardware and software development, distribution, strategic partnerships with the most advanced platform in the set-top box industry. It was the culmination of my long tenure in the Consumer Electronics industry and successful launch of many new technologies. My previous work experience has encompassed growth engines for the CE industry including the build/expansion of the UltraHD(4K) market, the extensive growth in IPTV helping to bridge hardware and software entities, the conversion of exhibitors to 4K Digital Cinema, developments in streaming media, establishing the foundation for the development of the home theater industry and launching multiple new technologies such as LaserDisc, CD, DVD, HDTV, Blu-ray, and more.
